IOM Liberia is dedicated to supporting the Government of Liberia and other stakeholders in promoting safe, orderly, and regular migration. This involves providing direct assistance to migrants, enhancing the capacities of national institutions, and contributing to the overall development and governance of migration-related activities in the country. The mission's activities are diverse and encompass various aspects of migration management, including return and reintegration of migrants, combatting trafficking in persons, migration health, immigration and border management, peacebuilding and social cohesion, and migration and development.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Liberia and direct supervision of the National Resources Management Officer (NRMO); [VM1] and, in collaboration with relevant units at Headquarters and the Administrative Centres, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for supporting supply chain activities, guided by Supply Chain Management (SCM) objectives to deliver quality goods/services to the beneficiaries at optimal price and in a timely manner

- Carry out clerical tasks to support the smooth running of activities in the Unit.
- Draft routine correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documentation.
- Maintain files, databases and tracking tools of the unit.
- Monitor stock level of consumables, supplies, and other materials needed by the office and alert on the need to restock.
- Conduct outdoor activities for checking prices, making small purchases, collecting and delivering documents and other goods.
- Support the coordination of transportation needs and drivers’ movements; verify all logbooks are properly maintained and monitor fuel consumption and vehicle’ maintenance records.
- Support the organization of meetings, workshops, trainings
- Follow up on contractors doing work on the office premises.
- Conduct regular inspection of office premises and verify functionality of the entire office and equipment.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with one year of relevant professional experience; or
- High school diploma with three years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in procurement and logistics and working with vendors and service providers;
- Experience with asset management process.
- Experience working with IOM/UN Procurement and Logistics Rules and Procedures is an advantage
- Experience working in an international organisation an advantage.
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to work with national and international institutions;
- Ability to prepare clear and concise report;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to establish realistic resource requirements to meet IOM needs
Languages- Fluency in English (oral and written).and French is an advantageous
