Student Assistant - Data Ops

The Role

The Student Assistant will provide hands-on support to the Data Operations function. The role is primarily operational and administrative, focused on maintaining data quality, assisting with daily workflows, and supporting cross-departmental coordination.

What You''Ll Be Doing

• Handle recurring manual tasks related to data input, mapping, validation, and file processing
• Assist with updating trackers, spreadsheets, and documentation
• Help maintain oversight of scrapers, connectors, and incoming data sources
• Check daily data deliveries and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or delays
• Escalate or flag issues to relevant team members
• Support communication with Sales, Finance, and other stakeholders when operational data issues arise
• Help gather information or follow up on tasks related to data alignment
• Keep process documentation, manuals, and work instructions updated
• Assist in mapping data sources and maintaining simple overviews of integrations.

Who We'Re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (preferably in Data Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field)
• Able to commit 20 hours per week
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, lookups, pivot tables a plus)
• Comfortable working with structured data (CSV, XLSX, basic SQL a plus)
• Good organizational and documentation skills
• Familiarity with data processing tools or platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Airtable, or similar)
• Interest or basic knowledge of APIs, scrapers, or data integrations is a plus
