Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in AI/ML technologies. Ability to learn and understand the technical context of programs you drive and contribute to technical discussions that affect the programs.
  • Experience developing technology/operational strategy and translating strategies into program/project plans.
  • Experience in leading transformation initiatives with a knowledge of Operations or Management Consulting.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Senior Program Manager I, Strategic Initiatives, you will join the AI and Infrastructure Programs team to drive transformation across the organization. You will mobilize cross-functional teams, deliver solutions, and drive data-driven decision making to deliver a program that supports and accelerates the transformation of the AI and Infrastructure organization. Your passion, technical and business knowledge, and excellent organizational, communication skills will inspire the teams and establish trust amongst a set of stakeholders and customers. In this role, you will solve challenging business and engineering problems. You will contribute leadership and experience managing across disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. You will drive execution of programs and actions to closure, resolve problems and gain alignment, identify trends, determine improvement areas, and implement change.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

  • Set program direction, working with cross-functional stakeholders to outline goals and objectives.
  • Drive the planning and implementation of programs and initiatives, working with leads and stakeholders across multiple functions. Establish goals, schedule and milestones. Manage dependencies and anticipate/resolve execution issues.
  • Be the owner of the status of the projects/programs. Drive visibility on progress, dependencies, risks, and issues to executives and other stakeholders.
  • Manage communication of progress/status with customer groups in various locations and time zones. Own and develop relationships between cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage the domain expertise, program management experience and leadership skills to help the team improve processes, accelerate program execution, and drive productivity across the portfolio.
