Maintenance Carpenter Technician

Position: Maintenance Carpenter Technician  Shift:  8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday   Starting Pay: $22-$24 per hour based on experience level

Essential Job Duties:

1. Performs general maintenance duties such as replacing plumbing fixtures, appliance repairs, moving furniture, painting, general residential repairs
2.  Performs general carpentry duties
3. Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor
4. Performs minor building and equipment repairs
5. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor
6. Cover security shifts as needed
7. Assists with snow removal efforts during winter months
8. Utilize low speed vehicles (i.e. golf cart) to transport self, equipment and debris across the community grounds when needed

Qualifications

1. High school education (Diploma or GED) is required
2. Valid Driver License with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report is required
3. Familiarity with tablets, computers, and electronic work order system
4. Technical Schooling in carpentry, construction and/or background (educational and/or professional) is preferred
5. Employment history involving 2+ years of facility maintenance, grounds, construction, or trade-work preferred in a Health Care or Retirement Community preferred
6. Painting and sheetrock experience preferred
7. OSHA 10 Certification preferred
8. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic is required
