Transportation Design Engineer-New Graduate

SENER is seeking motivated recent graduates in Civil Engineering to join our transportation design team in Los Angeles, CA (with hybrid work flexibility). As a Graduate Transportation Design Engineer, you will be part of an international company engaged in some of the most ambitious rail and roadway projects in the United States. This role is designed to provide structured mentorship and professional growth, giving you the opportunity to develop your technical and project skills while contributing to real-world infrastructure design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop roadway and railway design elements, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, and 3D corridor models
• Prepare CAD drawings, technical plans, and design documentation using Bentley OpenRoads, OpenRail and Microstation
• Support senior engineers with geometric design, modeling, and analysis tasks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structures, drainage, utilities, environment)
• Assist in preparing project deliverables, presentations, and reports
• Participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing to strengthen technical skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• Familiarity with CAD/CAE software; experience with Bentley tools (OpenRoads, OpenRail, MicroStation) is a must
• Solid understanding of basic transportation engineering principles
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow in a collaborative environment
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Previous internship or academic project experience in transportation design is beneficial but not required
• Must be local to Los Angeles
