Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Associate Manager, Regional Sales. The position is remote, or hybrid for those located in Buffalo, NY.
As an Associate Sales Manager, you will provide sales leadership and direction by cultivating relationships with decision makers to push the sales of both our core brands and Private label as strategically targeted in the Mid Atlantic territory. You will do this by managing and executing all aspects of the company strategy. This will include, but is not limited to, penetrate senior account management, broker management, initiate new item distribution, and maximize profitability of product mix and other activities, which are important to continued development of the assigned account(s).

- Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Work with the Division Manager to develop appropriate sales strategies and build the long-term plan as part of the company’s business plan.
- Draw up, arbitrate, validate and implement category development plan, ensuring that it is applied and put in place with key accounts.
- Work closely with Trade Marketing to develop and implement sales plans at all customers that will meet stated goals of the company
- Develop and monitor KPI’s for both brokers and customers
- Responsible for effective management of all broker activities, respond to both competitive pressures and changes at the customer level.
- Review market activity on a weekly basis using IRI or designated company tools, identify new profitable business and customer opportunities and develop strategies by facilitating communication between key accounts and Lactalis commercial team.
- Work closely with appropriate senior sales managers in the development of Customer selling stories by providing support and information as required.
- Submit timely and accurate reports of activities and appropriate expenses as required.
- Participate in Trade Shows and attend key client/stakeholder meetings to build on existing relationships and strategize on opportunities.
Work Conditions
- Travel is required up to 50% monthly.
- Target sales area includes MD, NC, OH, PA, TN, VA
- Extended hours may be necessary depending on the project needs.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education
- Bachelor's degree is required. Equivalent years of experience may be considered.
Experience
- 3+ years related CPG sales experience is required.
- Experience within the food/beverage industry is strongly favored.
Certifications and specific knowledge
- Working knowledge of US retailers & Dairy industry.
Competencies
- Candidate must have strong administrative skills and the ability to develop working relationships with all major functions within the company.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills are necessary.
- Working knowledge of syndicated data platforms
