Job Overview:

The Operations Support Specialist at GBC Food Services, LLC plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our operational, administrative, and accounting practices. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, expertise, and responsibility, focusing on strategic support, financial oversight, and advanced communication with franchisees, Operations and Administration. The specialist will lead initiatives to translate complex financial data for franchisees, oversee operational improvements, and manage critical projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises a team of operational support staff, overseeing their daily tasks and long-term professional development.
  • Leads cross-functional projects involving multiple departments, ensuring project goals align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategizes and implements advanced operational, administrative, and accounting systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the company.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for franchisees, offering expert advice and guidance on financial statements and operational policies.
  • Interprets complex financial data, ensuring franchisees receive clear, actionable insights to aid their decision-making processes.
  • Manages the review and resolution process for franchisee statement queries, emphasizing accuracy and compliance.
  • Leads the development and communication of operational and financial policies, ensuring alignment with strategic company goals.
  • Coordinates with senior management to identify and execute operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Provides expert analysis and recommendations for financial and operational decisions, supporting the company's growth and profitability.

Education And Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in an operations support role with significant accounting and financial management responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of leading operational improvements and managing complex projects.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily office-based; however, the role requires the ability to attend meetings, visit various operational sites, and engage in activities requiring mobility.

Work Environment:

  • Professional office setting with opportunities for remote work as projects demand.
  • Requires flexibility to work beyond standard hours and travel as needed for company operations and franchisee support.
