Job Description

The Siren Café inside The Siren Hotel is seeking an organized, friendly, and passionate Barista to join our Café. We are looking for someone who can oversee a Café program that is willing to grow and learn with our team. Our hospitality-driven team focuses on education and excellent service through our food and beverage operations. The Siren Café is located in our lobby outlet for well-executed coffee beverages, food items from Karl’s Diner, and Candy Bar bottled cocktails.

The Siren Café Calls For:

• Provides excellent customer service to all guests.
• Able to work under pressure and always maintains a calm demeanor
• Maintains the station and anticipates the customer’s needs
• Someone who always arrives at their shift on time and maintains a consistent attendance
• Able to work flexible hours that include early mornings, afternoons, weekends and possible holidays.
• Is a great multi-tasker and able to perform many different tasks within the scope of your job during each shift.
• Able to keep a clean work space even when busy.
• Prepares beverages, food products, and handles cash and credit card transactions with accuracy
• Serving food, coffee beverages, and cocktails

Essential Requirements:

• Must be available Monday through Sunday
• Strong communication skills.
• Works well under pressure.
• Organized.
• Able to work in a solo environment
• Able to seek and facilitate, and upkeep on daily tasks.
• Clean, clean, clean.
• Strong planning skills.
• Punctual.
• Ability to Multitask.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Customer service and restaurant experience.
• Knowledgeable of a variety of coffee drinks
• A basic understanding of bartending and mixology
• TIP’s training
• The Barista reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager.
• Pay: $15.00 per hour plus tips.
• Job Type: Full Time
• Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
