Job Summary:
The Director of People & Culture is a key leader within the organization, responsible for shaping and overseeing HR programs that support our people, culture, and business objectives. This role will focus on ensuring compliance and excellence in ADA administration, employee leaves of absence, and performance management, while also leading and developing the HR Recruiting and Generalist teams. The Director will partner closely with senior leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. We are seeking a dynamic individual that brings collaboration and organization to our team, thinking about how we mutually engage to move initiatives forward.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Employee Relations, ADA, and Leave Administration
- Oversee the administration of ADA accommodations and employee leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on complex leave and accommodation cases.
- Partner with legal as needed to mitigate risks.
- Develop clear processes, training, and communications to support consistent, fair, and empathetic administration of leaves and accommodations.
Talent Acquisition and HR Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the Recruiting and HR Generalist teams, providing coaching, professional development, and strategic guidance.
- Partner with business leaders to develop effective workforce planning and hiring strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience, while maintaining efficiency and scalability in recruiting operations.
- Build team capacity to deliver high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle.
Performance Management & Employee Development
- Oversee company-wide performance management programs, including goal-setting, performance reviews, feedback processes, and employee development initiatives.
- Provide tools and resources to managers to foster consistent, constructive, and transparent performance conversations.
- Partner with the SVP of People & Culture and leadership team to identify and implement talent development initiatives.
- Use data and analytics to assess performance trends and make recommendations to strengthen organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee the performance management process in Paylocity.
People & Culture Strategy
- Act as a culture champion, modeling organizational values and supporting efforts to build engagement, inclusion, and retention.
- Collaborate with the SVP of People & Culture to implement HR initiatives that drive employee satisfaction, growth, and alignment with company strategy.
- Monitor HR metrics and trends to inform proactive solutions and continuous improvement.
- Enrich lives by creating winning experiences and timeless memories.
- Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
- 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and related state and federal employment laws.
- Proven experience managing leave of absence programs and accommodations.
- Demonstrated success leading HR teams, including recruiting and generalists.
- Experience implementing and administering performance management processes at scale.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage complex and sensitive employee matters with discretion and empathy.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- PHR or SHRM-CP highly preferred.
Physical Demands:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
