Summary:

The Business Development Director, is responsible for leading and coordinating business development efforts across YA’s Legal Services. This strategic role involves managing national BD representatives, developing targeting strategies, and aligning cross-functional activities to ensure consistent messaging and market coverage. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach Legal Services business development representatives, ensuring effective coverage across priority markets 
  • Oversee the national law firm target list and drive coordinated outreach efforts with service delivery leads 
  • Align business development activity across service lines to avoid overlap and ensure clarity 
  • Design and execute national Legal Services business development initiatives such as training events, industry webinars, and coordinated outreach campaigns in partnership with Marketing 
  • Partner with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and deliver joint presentations, case studies, and client-facing events 
  • Track KPIs, pace of deal progression, and team activity in CRM; provide regular reporting and insights to leadership 
  • Train internal teams on Legal Services processes and ensure regional representatives have the necessary tools and messaging to support outreach 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field  
  • 7+ years of experience in business development or client-facing roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity 
  • Proven experience in business development, sales leadership, or client engagement within legal services or professional services sectors 
  • Strong understanding of law firm dynamics, litigation support, and technical service integration 
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills 
  • Experience designing and executing strategic business development campaigns and initiatives 

Salary range: $105,000 - $115,000 + bonus opportunity

** Title and pay will be commensurate with experience
