Job Description

Join a world-renowned diamond company at the forefront of innovation and technology. We’re looking for a Technical Specialist to support our advanced diamond verification instruments across the UAE. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise with client engagement in a high-value, luxury industry.

As a Technical Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for installation, servicing, and client training on our cutting-edge instruments. You’ll also play a key role in marketing our solutions, building relationships, and supporting exhibitions and events.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot diamond verification instruments across client sites in the UAE.
  • Deliver technical training to client operators to reduce downtime and improve first-line maintenance.
  • Provide rapid support (within 2–4 working days) and ensure high instrument uptime.
  • Manage stock levels of consumables and spare parts, and coordinate sourcing and replenishment.
  • Support exhibition setups, showcasing instruments and engaging with visitors.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and maintain secure handling of high-value equipment.
  • Contribute to market mapping, customer engagement, and lead generation.

Qualifications

The successful incumbent must meet the following criteria:

  • A Trade Test certificate or a diploma/degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field is required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in troubleshooting and servicing electronic/electro-mechanical instruments.
  • Proven ability to train clients and provide hands-on technical support.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and experience with computer-based equipment.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with customs regulations for importing/exporting valuable cargo.
  • Knowledge of polished stones and diamond industry processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities under pressure, and lead small teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel locally and internationally as required.
  • Successfully obtain a Medical Certificate of Fitness to work.
