The Manager, Partnerships Planning and Analysis is part of the Commercial Division. You’ll lead a high-impact team focused on medium- and long-term planning and performance analysis across American’s partnership ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to shape the future of our cobrand and other strategic partnerships.

What You'Ll Do

  • Lead planning and analysis functions supporting cobrand and strategic partnerships, cobrand and related initiatives.
  • Develop and manage planning deliverables for Joint Operating Committees, Executive Committees, and Senior Executive Committees.
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning efforts across loyalty, finance, marketing, and other departments.
  • Oversee performance tracking and analysis to support business objectives and partnership value realization.
  • Create executive-level materials and presentations to support senior stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to align planning efforts with strategic goals.
  • Support the Director, Planning and Execution in long-term strategy development and execution.

All You'Ll Need For Success

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, or partnership management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver executive-level insights.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in the airline, payments, or financial services industries.
  • Familiarity with cobrand credit card programs or strategic alliances.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience developing materials for senior leadership or board-level audiences.

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Deep understanding of partnership ecosystems and long-term value creation.
  • Proven ability to lead planning initiatives and manage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Skilled in performance analysis, forecasting, and executive reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Adaptable leader with a focus on continuous improvement and team development.
