Make an impact with our Consulting – Human Resources team as a Consultant. This diverse team of professionals develops innovative strategies that make a positive impact on clients’ businesses. As a trusted advisor, you’ll integrate human capital considerations and expertise into clients’ strategy, structure, systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a variety of client projects as a consultant, supporting a broad range of areas, including HR strategy, organizational design, leadership and team development, performance and talent management, employee engagement, and change management.
  • Collaborate closely with managers to deliver high-quality client work, providing support in areas such as research, drafting tools and resources, and reviewing HR policies, processes, and communications.
  • Conduct best practice reviews, and legislative research to inform tailored client recommendations.
  • Assist with the development of HR tools and templates, such as job descriptions, onboarding checklists, performance frameworks, and policy manuals.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and documentation of client workshops, interviews, and meetings — including preparing presentation materials and summaries.
  • Develop and collaboratively present professional, client-ready deliverables such as presentations, reports, strategic plans, and policy documentation.
  • Participate in team brainstorming, solution design, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Contribute to the internal development of methodologies, templates, and knowledge sharing within the HR Consulting practice.
  • Maintain flexibility and responsiveness to support client priorities in a fast-paced, project-based consulting environment.
  • Occasional travel within Canada is required for project work and team meetings, including to remote regions.

Skills And Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively HR experience
  • HR education and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a consulting environment is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the planning, designing and development of processes and programs across the pillars of HR
  • General understanding of the legislations governing and associated with HR (including both the ESA & CLC)
  • Solid grasp on diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
  • Solid communication and writing skills
  • Ability and willingness to engage with a diverse set of clients one-to-one, as well as in groups, through all methods (e.g., phone, videoconference and in-person)
  • Willingness to work in a non-traditional, project-focused environment
  • Passion for and ability to demonstrate a commitment to our purpose and guiding principles
  • In addition to the above, as much of the work we do is with Indigenous organizations, Nations and communities, experience working in this space is a strong asset. While it’s not critical that you have this experience, it is important that you have a particular interest in and willingness to do so.

The annual salary range for this position is: $60,000 - $80,000. Compensation is determined based on individual skills and relevant experience.
