Job Description
AHRC NYC is currently seeking both Residential Managers (RM) and Assistant Managers (RAM) for their Staten Island Group Home residences.
Residential Managers Compensation : $64,500 per year plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit package.
Residential Assistant Managers Compensation: $43,000 per year plus overtime when warranted and $750 per year upon completion of AHRC NYC's Defensive Driving class. In addition, this position comes with Free Medical Insurance as part of a comprehensive Benefit package.

Residential Manager Position Responsibilities
- Assumes overall responsibilities for the smooth operation of the residence.
- Ensures ongoing compliance and quality assurance with State and Federal regulations pertinent to the operation of the residence to which he/she is assigned.
- Provides direct supervision of direct support staff assigned to the residence under his/her jurisdiction.
- Collaborates with the management team to create a program of services for each resident, and assigns the tasks of each member of the direct support team.
- Participates in comprehensive service planning activities with outside agencies for each resident under his/her jurisdiction.
Residential Assistant Manager Responsibilities
- Assists with ensuring ongoing compliance and quality assurance with State and Federal regulations applicable to operation of facility to which he/she is assigned.
- Provides direct supervision and guidance to direct support employees assigned to residence. Confers with Residence Manager in completing mandated written evaluations of staff in residence, as well as participates in overseeing any disciplinary actions needed to address performance problems by staff.
- Provides service coverage in accordance with staff scheduling established by Residence Manager, as well as provides coverage in cases where scheduling may change due to direct staff shortages or emerging needs of residents.
- Collaborates with Residence Manager in planning each resident’s individualized program of services and care, covering both daily and longer-term needs, and ensuring delivery of services and care by direct care staff that addresses each resident’s interests, preferences, strengths and capabilities.
- Along with Residence Manager, serves as liaison with Treatment Coordinator in reviewing quality of active treatment services and expected residential habilitation outcomes, including attending team meetings, evaluating accuracy of activity schedules and documented.
Qualifications
Residential Manager Qualifications:
- Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Required.
- Experience as a supervisor in a residential setting Preferred.
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations Required.
- Valid NYS or Tri- state driver's license for more than one year is Required
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule including one day of each weekend.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required, Bachelors Preferred.
Residential Assistant Manager Qualifications:
- Experience supervising staff in a residential setting preferred not required.
- Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Required.
- Must be knowledgeable in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities and have knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
- Must have ability to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing program policies and procedures in timely and consistent manner.
- High school diploma or HSE, along with 12-18 months of related experience required.
- A valid New York state Tri-State driver's license for more than one year in good standing is required for most but not all positions.
