Job Description

About This Job:

We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join the Actuarial Operations function based in Dublin. The successful individual will play a key role in the maintenance of the Non-Life Reserving Platform as well as delivering process and system enhancements.

About The Role:

  • Contribute to the delivery and testing of a new Reserving Platform
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Reserving Platform as part of business as usual
  • Develop new components and enhancements to existing processes within the Reserving Platform
  • Develop the expertise to act as a super-user for the Reserving Platform
  • Support the training of wider members of the Actuarial function
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives across the Actuarial function

Qualifications

About You:

Technical Skills:

  • Python or R programming experience are required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products, with excellent Excel skills
  • Experience working with ResQ would be an advantage
  • Comfortable accessing information stored in databases and data systems/reports

Soft Skills:

  • Self-starter with high motivation, team-orientation and adaptability
  • An innovative thinker who will identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Comfortable operating in a changing work environment
  • Good communication and listening skills

Work Experience:

  • Experience working in a Non-Life Reinsurance business would be a distinct advantage

Education:

  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or similar discipline
  • Studying towards an actuarial qualification through an internationally recognised society
