Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
NBC Sports Next, a division of ‘Versant’, is where sports and technology intersect. We’re fueled by our mission to innovate, create larger-than-life events and connect with sports fans through technology. We’re a subdivision of NBC Sports and home to leading technology platforms and digital applications for Youth & Recreational Sports; Golf; and Emerging Media.
We’re looking for a Content & Engagement Marketing Manager to help drive GolfNow’s brand storytelling, digital engagement, and customer connection strategies. This role blends creativity with organized execution to build loyalty, grow reach, and create meaningful engagement across key marketing channels. In this role, you’ll run our day-to-day content development and execution, manage our brand ambassador program, develop content calendars, and engage with our golfers on social media platforms. You’ll bring a strong eye for detail, a passion for golf, and a forward-thinking mindset that encourages new ideas and processes.
In this role, you will be a part of the larger NBC Sports Next team and you’ll report to the Senior Manager, GolfNow Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop storytelling that is both engaging to passionate golf fans and highlights our brand, golfer benefits, and partner courses.
- Oversee content calendar to align with campaigns, seasonal moments, key tournaments, and current trends.
- Partner with marketing, sales, individual creators, and courses to deliver engaging content.
- Pitch new content ideas based on the current trends and events in golf, and manage content across the finish line.
- Manage our customer sentiment by engaging with golfer feedback and collaborating with our customer success team.
- Track KPIs such as reach, engagement rate, content performance, community growth and recommend optimizations.
- Stay current on digital trends, golf culture, and fan engagement strategies.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, ideally in content marketing, social media, or engagement marketing.
- Strong storytelling, copywriting, and campaign concepting skills.
- Experience managing brand social media accounts, communities, and influencer partnerships.
- Proficient with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Sprout, social platform insights, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:
- Highly organized with experience building and executing content calendars.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
- Passion for golf strongly preferred.
Additional Job Requirements
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as a hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
- Must be willing to work in the Orlando, FL office
