The Role:
We are seeking an Associate Creative Director to define and evolve Elevate Labs brands and creative expression across our portfolio of mental fitness apps — Balance, Elevate, and Spark. This role blends visionary leadership with hands-on creative execution: you will set the creative direction for our brand identity, campaigns, and content, while also designing, writing, and editing assets yourself.
Your mission is to establish a world-class creative function, ensuring that everything we make — from brand campaigns to product storytelling — embodies our voice and reinforces our mission of bringing mental fitness to every mind, every day.
This is a fully remote position anywhere in North or South America, reporting to the VP of Marketing.
How You’Ll Make An Impact Here:
Creative Direction & Brand Identity
- Serve as the brand’s creative steward, leading the development and evolution of Elevate Labs’s visual identity, voice, and design systems.
- Translate strategy into world-class creative concepts and campaigns that drive brand recognition, trust, and cultural relevance.
- Ensure Balance, Elevate, and Spark share a unified brand family look and feel, while retaining their own distinct personalities.
Campaigns & Content
- Lead creative for brand campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and integrated marketing moments.
- Craft and refine compelling content across mediums — visual, written, and experiential — that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Elevate our storytelling by balancing strategy with creativity, and insight with inspiration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product and marketing teams to ensure creative is impactful, cohesive, and aligned with business goals.
- Provide clear creative direction while also rolling up your sleeves to execute
- Champion creative excellence across every touchpoint where Elevate Labs shows up.
Innovation & Optimization
- Stay ahead of creative trends, platforms, and tools to keep the brand fresh and relevant.
- Use data, research, and user insights to refine creative direction and maximize impact.
- Experiment with AI and emerging technologies to accelerate impactful design and storytelling.
What We’Re Looking For:
- Proven track record as an Associate Creative Director or senior creative leader in brand, design, or content.
- A standout portfolio showcasing brand campaigns, design systems, and storytelling that blend strategy with craft.
- Hands-on creative ability in design (Figma/Adobe) and copywriting/editing.
- Experience leading and mentoring creative teams, agencies, or freelancers.
- Strong storytelling skills across visual, written, and digital mediums.
- Ability to translate data, insights and strategy into creative concepts that drive cultural resonance and business impact.
- Excellent taste, with an eye for detail and design consistency.
- Collaborative leadership style, comfortable working across teams and disciplines.
- Comfort in lean, fast-moving environments where you both lead and create.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with consumer brands in health, wellness, or education.
- Knowledge of performance-driven creative and integrated brand/marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with motion design, video, or experiential creative.
Compensation:
At Elevate Labs, we take a thoughtful and equitable approach to compensation with the goal of offering fair and sustainable salaries to all employees. We use a market-based, pay-for-performance compensation model that we update annually with high-quality industry compensation data.
The full salary range for this role is $88,000-$165,000 USD, but a subset of the range will be used based on each candidate’s location. Final compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, and location.
Finally, we believe that people should be paid equitably for their expected (and then actual) contributions rather than negotiation skills. To that end, we give all successful candidates our “first and best” offer, and have a no-negotiation policy. We also provide all employees with consistent opportunities to receive compensation increases in line with their contributions and impact throughout their tenure.
How We Hire:
At Elevate Labs, we seek to build high-impact teams with high talent density, and we invest a lot of time and care into the hiring process. Your resume will be reviewed by a human, so we encourage you to keep resumes short (one page should do) and submit it as a PDF.
You can expect both a take-home skills assessment and behavioral interviews, during which you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise.
Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion:
We believe that there is no single candidate profile that guarantees success in this role. Experience comes in different forms; many skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way. If your background is similar to the job description and you think you can excel in this role, please apply and tell us about yourself and the impact you could make at Elevate Labs.
We also know that diversity of identity, experience, and thought leads to more creativity, better problem-solving, and wiser decisions, which is why we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to our team. We are an equal opportunity employer; committed to diversity and building an equitable and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and experiences, and we're taking steps to meet that commitment. We highly encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ folks, veterans, and people with disabilities.
