Job Purpose

Become our next Journeyman Off-Road Field Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic at Albian. You will be the backbone of our fleet; performing preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and field repairs to ensure equipment never misses a beat. If you know diesel, hydraulics, and electrical systems and take pride in safe, professional work, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

• Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery at various job sites
• Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site
• Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services
• Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment
• Must be able to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
• Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
• Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
• Build positive relationships with customers
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Conditions Of Employment

• Must have Journeyman Mechanic (Off Road) Certificate
• Able to work 7 on, 7 off.
• Camp is provided along with flights out of Edmonton or Calgary only.
• At least 3-years’ hands on experience working on Aerial & Earth Moving Equipment
• Ability to work constructively in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude.
• Valid Class 5 license.
• A clean and recent driver’s abstract will be required.
• All employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and alcohol screening.
• According to site regulations, all candidates must be clean shaven.

Pay Range: Union Rate $57.20/hr. Additional $1.50/hour field premium.
