Location: Newark, CA
As an intern, you must possess a strong understanding of Product Management and Fleet Health Management, Remote Diagnostics fundamentals. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches work with vigor and determination.
Please note this is a pipeline req, by applying to this role, you are interested in at least one of the following teams:
· Complex Systems Diagnostics and Prognostics Design
· Product Management
Role/Responsibilities:
- Own one or more technical projects related to controls software engineering from idea to completion
- Apply concepts from coursework to drive creative solutions to complex problems
- Work alongside talented engineers to enhance and maintain the digital experiences for our future electric vehicle models
- Recommend product strategies to meet business goals and user needs
- Interview internal teams like customer support, service and summarize user feedback
- Research user needs, benchmark competitor vehicles, apps, etc
- Design digital experiences such as touch screen voice and mobile apps for the EV drivers and passengers
- contribute directly to Lucid’s Fleet Health Management (FHM) and Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) initiatives
- Developing models that represent the health of vehicle components, subsystems, and full systems using telemetry data, engineering design inputs, and software diagnostics

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to apply book knowledge to real-world scenarios
- Technical knowledge about software development, computer science, electrical engineering
- Business acumen - BBA/MBA
- User empathy, design sense of UX/UI
- Strong foundation in systems engineering or vehicle architecture
- Experience with data analysis and machine learning (especially time-series and anomaly detection)
- Familiarity with Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) concepts
- Exposure to knowledge representation techniques such as knowledge graphs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Education:
- Field(s) of study: Electrical, Reliability, Mechanical, Computer, Control or Automotive Engineering, MBA, BBA, or related fields
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
Program Information:
- Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules.
- Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
- Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Newark, CA, and is fully in-person. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.
- Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable ranging from $50 to $70 (subject to changes).
- Relocation: May be provided on a case-to-case basis.
- Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.
- Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.
- Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen.
- Medical benefits: Dental, vision, and medical on day 1 for all interns working full-time.
- Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization.
