About the RolePPLM’s Social Science Research Program is seeking two interns to support participant recruitment and data collection for two research studies: EnPIRHE and ISTAR. These studies are expanding to our Worcester Health Center, with ongoing work at our Boston location.
Interns will gain hands-on experience in public health research, contribute to meaningful projects, and engage in professional development activities such as journal clubs and methodological trainings.
This internship will require 10-20 hours per week and is expected to run through May 2026 (with flexibility).

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit and enroll participants at Boston and Worcester clinics
• Support participants in completing surveys using RedCap
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow study protocols
• Conduct informed consent procedures
• Attend team meetings and trainings
• Participate in optional qualitative data collection
• Travel between Boston and Worcester may be required

Qualifications:

• Interest in sexual and reproductive health research and ethics
• Ability to travel to both Worcester and Boston clinics
• Strong documentation and protocol-following skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to respectful engagement with diverse communities
• Alignment with PPLM’s mission and values

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior research or clinical experience (not required)
• Familiarity with RedCap
