Join our AI Underwriting team as a Vendor Data Analyst and play a key role in shaping how external data powers underwriting decisions. This role combines vendor coordination, project management, and hands-on data analysis. You’ll research vendors, manage Proofs of Concept, monitor data usage, and triage issues—helping NEXT get the most value from its external data partnerships.
What You'Ll Do:
- Research potential new data vendors and prepare supporting materials.
- Track and project manage Proofs of Concept, ensuring milestones are met and results are captured.
- Retrieve PoC data, perform initial analysis, and summarize findings for review.
- Support the contracting process for vendors, coordinating with legal, finance, and vendors for POCs, new contracts, and renewals.
- Triage vendor issues as the first point of contact; escalate unresolved problems as needed.
- Monitor usage dashboards for fill rates, spend, and anomalies; prepare reports comparing usage to budget.
- Own and update vendor documentation, including information from contracts, product catalogs, and performance notes.
- Work with internal Product Managers to provide sample queries; run data analysis using SQL and Python.
What We Need:
- Vendor Support: Strong organizational skills to manage intake, track PoCs, and coordinate across multiple vendor projects.
- Data Skills: Ability to work with SQL or Python for data retrieval and analysis; comfort interpreting vendor datasets.
- API Familiarity: Understanding of APIs and ability to interpret responses; willingness to learn Postman or similar tools.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal skills for summarizing results and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to triage vendor issues and follow through to resolution.
- Documentation: Attention to detail in maintaining accurate vendor records and data usage documentation.
Unstoppable Qualifications:
- Experience with vendor coordination, procurement workflows, or data operations.
- Prior exposure to insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with collaboration/documentation tools such as Confluence.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location(s) listed. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
