The Role
We are looking for an advocate to lead our pricing and packaging efforts as we aim to accelerate our growth in the coming years. You will develop Amperity's global pricing & packaging strategy for its multiple offerings.
You will identify the value created for Amperity customers across all of our products and features. You will then recommend opportunities to pursue, how to configure/package our portfolio of products to best serve different market segments, and how to ensure that Amperity captures fair value for our products and services. You will collaborate with product marketing, product management, sales, support, and finance to accelerate top-line growth.
You will be data-driven, customer-focused, and bring a collaborative approach to developing long-term pricing and packaging strategies to increase business growth.
You will report to the Head of Product, Operations.
Interesting Problems
- Oversee monetization, packaging, and pricing strategy across Amperity including framing strategic considerations, creating potential solutions, analyzing options, collaborating with senior executives, incorporating industry insights, and driving towards decisions.
- This is a hands-on role. You will collaborate with Product and GTM teams to understand the systems architecture and telemetry for each product offering and the value each offering provides. You will use this knowledge to build scalable pricing models and processes.
- You will translate complex technical concepts into simple customer-facing resources.
- Communicate findings and lead discussions across the broader organization to develop and strengthen an understanding of the value that Amperity delivers to customers, and the levers we use to capture some of that value through price.
- Deliver market research and insight into B2B software industry best practices, and identify applicable insights for Amperity
- Maintain and upgrade our internal pricing and packaging calculators together with product launches, sales kickoffs, and other regular events.
- Evaluate and forecast the effectiveness of pricing strategies and their impact on important indicators.
- Partner with our GTM enablement team to allow our sales and account management teams to communicate Amperity's value to prospective and current customers.
- Partner with product management and product marketing to establish pricing and packaging for new products and features.
- Partner with engineering and data science teams to understand COGS movement and possible effects on pricing.
- Partner with the broader finance and GTM Ops team to ensure the successful implementation of our strategies in the field and to improve our pricing and packaging over time.
- Communicate our pricing and discounting performance, progress, and roadblocks to the management team.
About You
- 8+ years of progressive experience in pricing, monetization, or commercial strategy roles. Experience with AI/ML products and usage-based pricing.
- Experience with both Enterprise and PLG GTM motions.
- Experience with market research.
- Data modeling, data collection, and data analysis skills.
- Technical proficiency with SQL and Tableau.
- Experience presenting complex business ideas and data to executive audiences, with experience guiding decisions through presentations.

Our hybrid work model includes three days in the office each week, providing a mix of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility
Compensation
Base Salary: $170,000-$230,000. Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.
Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.
Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
