General Trade Sales Director is responsible for leading all business and multifunctional processes at Distributor’s branches level via demonstrating stewardship behavior. This is achieved personally, and through the management of people, selling and implementing Balance Scorecard-JBP between P&G and Distributors that delivers superior retail presence on & offline and superior consumer & customer value in line with P&G's Purpose Values & Principles.

  • Manage a team of Sales Senior Managers & Sales Managers to develop winning selling plans to enable Sales teams to win in stores and drive local Go-to-Market & Sales Fundamentals strategies to win with Distributors.
  • Define and deliver sales fundamentals and Business targets.
  • Provide inputs/ recommendations for differentiated GTM plans and commercial plan to ensure JBP sufficiency with Distributors.
  • Partner with multi-functional team for business plan production.
  • Lead deployment of agreed internal commercial strategies, key business priorities and master plan via JBP to the Distributors
  • Contribute to stewardship conformity giving clear mentorship on compliant spending to ensure the best use of budgets and no control outages.

Job Qualifications

  • Expertise of operations at 1) Joint Business Planning (JBP) meetings with distributors and 2) Key sales fundamentals to provide clear mentorship to Sales team to drive the best in-store execution
  • Knowledge in FMCG, General Trade channel and Distributor partnership. From 10 years of working experience in FMCG Sales – General Trade/ Traditional Channel, working experiences with distributors is  a must.
  • Deep understanding of commercial planning and processes
  • Understanding of Vietnam Market through understanding consumers and customers’/ distributors’ needs and wants for the channel and store level
  • Fluency in both Vietnamese and English, including written and verbal
  • Proven ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and optimally to external and internal stakeholders
  • Flexibility in travel 50% (including Distributor Meetings, Internal meetings, Store visits, On-field coaching for Sales team, Consumer Research, etc.)
  • Distributor Operations processes including multi-functional operations.
  • As a member of Vietnam Leadership team, we need your personal initiative to deliver outstanding business and organization results
