This is a first shift in Integrated Test Automation System for High Volume Production.

Test and Validation Engineers develop and improve test processes analyzing product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes to support customer requirements. You would apply your knowledge and skills to develop, test, modify, and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams and provide technical direction for the test and troubleshooting of complex electronic assemblies and test equipment.

What You Will Do

  • Leveraging Expertise: Utilize in-depth product and test equipment knowledge to resolve production issues quickly and reduce downtime.
  • Scalable Test Environments: Develop robust, scalable test systems, collaborating with test equipment maintenance and engineering teams to ensure reliability and implement improvements.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical troubleshooting for hardware testing and support defect resolution through root cause analysis (RCCA) and corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze production test data to ensure compliance, identify trends, and drive process and testing strategy improvements.
  • Documentation and Standards: Maintain accurate and accessible test-related documentation, ensuring all guidelines are up-to-date and adhered to during rework and retesting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement by analyzing test data, optimizing methodologies, and implementing best practices.
  • Collaboration: Foster cross-functional collaboration among stakeholders in Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Program Offices to align goals and objectives.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure safety requirements are met for products, personnel, and test environments, promoting a culture of safety and ongoing improvement.
  • Leadership Behavior: Accountability, proactive problem-solving, and fostering collaboration to achieve operational excellence and sustain production quality.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience. 
  • Experience in manufacturing test or test equipment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced to expert knowledge of RF circuits, components, and related test equipment (e.g., Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers).
  • Proficiency in test software suites like TestStand and LabView.
  • Strong skills in test and fault isolation, as well as statistical data analysis.
  • Interpretation & Application:

  • Comprehensive ability to interpret test requirements, schematic diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of Raytheon projects, programs, or systems, with a focus on enhancing and leveraging them in daily tasks.
  • Knowledge and application of RTX CORE principles and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Tools & Software:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and shop floor tools like PRISM, PDM, and CMES.
  • Practical knowledge of statistical evaluation tools, including SPC and data distribution analysis.
  • Professional Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage dynamic workloads.
  • Self-driven and efficient in teamwork-oriented environments.
  • Proven initiative, accountability, and commitment to responsibilities.
  • Communication:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Security Clearance:

  • Active US Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance (Secret).
  • A Master's degree is preferred, demonstrating advanced education in a relevant field.

  • Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
