Collins Aerospace Optronics is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-precision optical systems for use on aircraft and in space.  We are seeking a Manager, Value Stream Management to join our team.  In this role, you will serve as a Value Stream Manager for Precision Optics within the Simulation & Training Systems portfolio in the Mission Systems strategic business unit. 

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for quality, schedule, performance, and cost for multiple Optronics development and production programs
  • Leads the cross functional program management team (PMT) to coordinate functional support and drive continuous improvement
  • Represent Optronics as primary customer contact
  • Develop customer proposals and contribute to growing the business

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior Project/Program management experience
  • Familiarity with optics and/or optical systems preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues with cross-functional partners, i.e. Operations, Supply Chain
  • Experience working with evolving customer requirements
  • Experience in the contracting process including proposal preparation & negotiations, leadership briefings, and Risk/Opportunity Management
  • Earned Value Management Certification
  • Experience with startup & transition of new designs to production

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
