Senior Manager, HR Business Partner – Altra, Smartwool and Icebreaker
What will you do?
The Senior HR Business Partner for Altra, Smartwool and Icebreaker will report to the Director, HR Business Partner (AMER) and serve as a strategic advisor and consultant to brand leaders. The Sr HRBP will align HR strategies with business objectives to drive performance, engagement, and growth. This role partners closely with senior leadership across corporate functions such as merchandising, marketing, sales, product, and supply chain to deliver integrated HR solutions that support organizational effectiveness and talent development.

Strategic Partnership & Organizational Development
- Build trust and partnerships with senior business leaders - act as a trusted advisor to influence all people matters within your function. Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational success.
· Collaborate and partner on Workforce Planning Strategies including organizational design, organization charts, job descriptions, headcount tracking, and compensation planning for business teams.
- Use data and analytics to inform decisions and measure HR impact.
Talent Management & Development
- Partner with Training & Development to identify skill gaps and implement development programs.
- Support succession planning and leadership development across corporate teams.
- Drive performance management processes and coach leaders on feedback and development conversations.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
- Champion a culture of inclusion, engagement, and accountability.
- Analyze engagement survey results and partner with leaders to implement action plans.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) in compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and diversity & inclusion.
- Support HR systems and process improvements to enhance employee experience.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8+ years of of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a business partner/strategic HR role and professional achievements. Experience in a retail or consumer-facing corporate environment strongly preferred.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategy with business goals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive change.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
- Must have a high sense of urgency, strong execution and follow through skills and works highly independently.

Hiring Range:
$112,320.00 USD - $140,400.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
