The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for Associate - Customer/Supplier Master Global Support who can support Avantor’s data management strategies by investigating and resolving data quality issues in enterprise applications via deletion and merging, while safeguarding against data loss. Execute mass data management processes while ensuring data quality. Manage documentation, updates to the Data Dictionary and data management training materials, under the guidance of the Enterprise Data Management & Analytics team. Coordinate and conduct mass data imports into core systems, and mass data-cleansing initiatives, ensuring integrity and eliminating redundancy from corporate databases.

Education: Any Degree
- Experience: 1 – 5 Years
Competently:
- Master Data Management (MDM): Strong understanding of customer and supplier data structures, hierarchies, and governance.
- SAP MDG / ERP Systems: Proficiency in tools like SAP Master Data Governance or other ERP platforms for data creation, maintenance, and validation.
- Data Quality & Accuracy: Ability to ensure completeness, consistency, and correctness of master data across systems.
- Compliance & Controls: Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), tax requirements (e.g., VAT, GST), and internal audit standards.
- Process Adherence: Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ability to follow global and local data processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Create, update, and maintain supplier and customer master data in MDG and ECC systems
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all platforms.
- Validate and verify documentation for onboarding new suppliers and customers.
- Adhere to internal controls and data governance policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., tax codes, banking details, legal identifiers).
- Perform periodic audits and cleansing of master data.
- Support onboarding processes by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data management processes.
- Assist in automation initiatives and system enhancements. Generate reports on master data quality and performance metrics.
- Maintain SOPs and training materials related to master data processes.

- Intermediate to advanced Excel, Access, SAP, and SQL skills
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Results driven, self-sufficient and highly motivated
- Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Must be able to develop excel reports as well as PowerPoint presentations
