Senior SQL Database Engineer

This role blends deep technical expertise with operational insight. You’ll work closely with logistics teams to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

What You’Ll Do

• Design, implement, and manage SQL Server environments (2008+), including replication, mirroring, and disaster recovery.
• Lead database migrations to Azure/AWS with minimal downtime.
• Automate infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform.
• Monitor performance with Prometheus and Grafana, and proactively resolve issues.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, or Airflow.
• Develop stored procedures, functions, and database objects with advanced SQL.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate database management into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support reporting tools like Power BI, Crystal Reports, and EDI systems.
• Document processes, create runbooks, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotation for mission-critical systems.

What We’Re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL skills: complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning.
• Experience in logistics or warehouse operations is highly valued.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and database migrations.
• Familiarity with reporting tools and EDI systems.
• Solid understanding of system debugging and configuration.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) – you’ll collaborate with teams in India and China.
• Proactive mindset, stakeholder management skills, and ability to think outside the box.
• Exposure to WMS deployments and agile project environments is a plus.

Hybrid role:  3 days at office, 2 days home office
