What is the opportunity?
The Next Best Action (NBA) Data Engineering team is seeking a passionate and seasoned data engineer to design, implement and support large-scale data processing automated solutions. We are looking for a strategic thinker, and passionate complex problem solver who excels in a highly demanding fast-paced environment.
You will collaborate with various technology and business partners to solve complex problems, design, and develop automated data solutions to efficiently deliver timely data-driven personalized Next Best Actions to our clients. This role requires strong interpersonal, problem-solving skills as well as a demonstrated sense of urgency to respond to changing priorities. This is a highly technical role requiring hands-on experience with large scale data pipelines, process design, and programming (eg. python, unix scripts, Spark, SQL). You can work from high level concepts and provide guidance to working teams for efficient implementation.
What will you do?
- Design and build efficient and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines with automated data quality controls to detect errors and anomalies
- Work in agile team of data engineers, developers and business stakeholders
- Provide direction as subject matter expert to evolve NBA ecosystem from current state to vision of real-time orchestration and interactions
- Collaborate with data scientists, process engineers and business stakeholders on requirements gathering
- Develop efficient scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- 5+ years Python, Apache Spark, Airflow, Hadoop, large scale databases and data processing, Unix scripting, SQL, RDBMS
- Experience with designing and developing large-scale data pipelines, working with Airflow, Helios, Github
- Education in software engineering, computer science, related background
- Strong data analysis and understanding of statistical methodology
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing skills
- Passion for learning new technologies, ability to collaborate with partners
Nice To Have
- Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI fundamentals
- Experience in CI/CD development environment
- Test and learn methodology
