In this vital role the Commercial Insights Sr Associate will be part of the primary market research team executing Amgen US tracking studies (ATUs, Chart Audits, PETs & DTC Effectiveness). Enhancing the value of these tracking insights through strategic integration of primary market research with secondary data, tactical data, and internal insights will be critical to delivering on the value to our commercial teams.

The Commercial Insights Sr Associate will help deliver primary market research and insights into Amgen’s US brands in the Cardiovascular Business Unit (CBU). The successful candidate is an excellent business partner who can guide stakeholders through process details in the day-to-day execution of PMR tracking work and assist with integration of insights across sources, including secondary data analysis. Acting as a trusted execution consultant to those teams, this person’s communication and interpersonal skills will complement strong technical ability in quantitative primary market research. You will help uncover the “So What” in the data and clearly articulate the “Now What.”

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Support brand planning and performance rhythms for CBU by preparing inputs for monthly monitors and regular performance/strategy updates to brand stakeholders.
  • Execute and integrate brand performance insights for CBU across PMR tracking programs (ATU, Chart Audit, PETs, DTC Effectiveness), ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant deliverables.
  • Coordinate across CD&A functions (e.g., secondary analytics, forecasting, advanced analytics) to connect analytical outputs into a cohesive story that informs brand decisions.
  • Challenge assumptions by raising data-driven hypotheses and alternatives; escalate risks or anomalies and propose mitigation steps (e.g., sample/source adjustments, instrument refinements).
  • Contribute to PMR capability building by researching and piloting new tools/methods and adopting internal/external best practices under guidance from a Manager.
  • Translate PMR findings into actionable insights with clear narratives, visualizations, and recommendations tailored to CBU brand objectives.
  • Ensure compliance and quality for both routine and ad-hoc projects, adhering to Amgen SOPs and service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget.
  • Build productive cross-functional relationships with partners such as Global Marketing, Sales Ops, Global Strategic Sourcing, and Compliance to align on objectives, inputs, and outputs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners across ACCP and the US office, and with external vendors, to prioritize CBU business needs and enable effective insights generation.
