I am really pleased to tell you about a QAHE internal opportunity now open for application.
As Associate Dean of Learner Skills Development, you will lead the academic delivery and development of the ACE team across all partners and campuses. You will also be responsible for implementing a QAHE-wide skills strategy that supports student retention, engagement, and attainment.
Key responsibilities (please click through to read the job description in full):
- Lead and manage the ACE team’s academic delivery and development
- Oversee and evaluate ACE projects aligned with student needs and B3 metrics
- Analyse and report on ACE initiatives and their impact
- Ensure a high-quality student experience and support attainment outcomes
- Collaborate across Faculties and teams to ensure cohesive skills guidance
- Support and develop staff through effective line management
- Support the Dean with retention and engagement initiatives
- Align QAHE practice with HEA and QAA standards
- Deliver tutorials, workshops, and create learning materials as needed
Must Have'S:
- Successful leadership experience in skills guidance and academic delivery
- Proven track record in supporting diverse student cohorts, including international and widening participation groups
- Experience in developing and mentoring academic staff
- Knowledge of QAA Quality Code and university partner regulations
- Postgraduate qualification and relevant teaching qualification or FHEA (Senior FHEA desirable)
- Strategic mindset and commitment to enhancing student outcomes
