Job Description

We’re looking for a Fraud Program Manager with 7–10 years of fraud investigation experience in banking, fintech, or financial services. In this role, you’ll lead complex investigations, uncover root causes, and use SQL and/or Python to analyze fraud patterns and trends. You’ll build reports and dashboards, collaborate with risk, compliance, product, and tech teams, and provide insights that strengthen fraud strategies and controls.

How You’Ll Make An Impact:

• Lead end-to-end fraud investigations, including detection, analysis, documentation, and resolution
• Dive deep into complex cases, think independently, and deliver clear recommendations
• Write detailed root cause analyses to explain fraud patterns and process breakdowns
• Build and maintain dashboards, reporting, and fraud metrics for leadership and stakeholders
• Design and run advanced queries in SQL/Python to identify fraud trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Partner with fraud operations, risk, compliance, product, and technology teams to refine fraud strategies and controls
• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as sponsor banks, regulators, and vendors on fraud matters
• Stay current on fraud schemes, regulatory expectations, and compliance requirements (e.g., BSA/AML, Fair Lending, UDAAP)
• Mentor junior analysts and investigators on fraud detection techniques and investigative best practices
• Own Fraud Rules and rule performance

What You’Ll Need To Succeed:

• 7–10 years of fraud investigation experience in banking, fintech, or financial services
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for fraud analysis and reporting
• Strong knowledge of fraud typologies (ID theft, first-party fraud, synthetic identities, account takeovers, etc.)
• Experience with fraud risk management in loan and leasing portfolios
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks impacting fraud operations
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and with external partners
• Proven ability to write clear, structured analyses and communicate findings to executives and regulators
• Strong critical thinking, investigative mindset, and attention to detail

What would make you stand out:

• Experience with fraud detection tools and case management systems
• Background in designing or tuning fraud models/rules engines
• Understanding of credit bureau data, KYB/KYC processes, and merchant risk monitoring
• Previous experience in a fintech startup or scaling fraud programs
