Key Accountabilities

Project Initiation And Planning:

  • Takes full responsibility for the completion of the initial definition of the project, including defining scope, expected timelines, Business Case, Budget construction, submission, approval and identification of project sponsor.
  • Ensures that the appropriate Program Management Office Project & Change Management Frameworks are integrated into the project planning.
  • Completes full analysis of the project to ensure that all Eastspring Investments governance framework is embedded within the project & strictly adhered.to.
  • Setting and communicating realistic project deliverables & budget with project sponsors.
  • Effective project stakeholder management.
  • Ensuring that appropriate resource planning is undertaken at the start of each initiative.

Project Execution:

  • Ensuring that appropriate project resources are involved in the initiatives, including technology, business unit and project resources.
  • Active & accurate communication as per the Communications Framework to ensure all stakeholders are kept updated, allowing for timely interventions / mitigations as required.
  • Ability to “roll up the sleeves” and assist other members in the project as and when required.
  • Leading the change through all stages from requirement gathering to implementation.

Project Control & Reporting:

  • Effective tracking of detailed tasks in the plan via established task reporting processes and input from task owners
  • Effective issue and risk management
  • Management of dependencies / constraints with other releases / initiatives
  • Regular Project Status Reports to key stakeholders.
  • Governance adherence highlighting issues, risks and status against key milestones.
  • Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular written status updates to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation are signed-off by the business and respective stakeholders as well as institutionalized and are of auditable standards.

Candidate Attributes

  • Dynamic individual who is able to navigate the organisation successfully with excellent influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to resolve issues in a manner that build trusts, delivers successful project outcomes and drives the organisation’s strategic agenda.
  • High energy, drive with strong change management experience.
  • Has over 10 years of experience working as a Project Manager within either fund management or capital markets. This experience could have been gained as an employee of the financial institution or as a consultant working on assignment.
  • Attention to detail, persistence to complete tasks and resolve issues & risks. Pro-active / takes initiative.
  • Has experience of working across / covering multiple jurisdictions
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within cost against a recognized project management methodology.
  • Experience in Change Management and Target Operating Model Re-engineering.
  • Experience in Asset Management Solution Delivery and/or BlackRock Aladdin solution knowledge and product skills an advantage
  • Strong Business knowledge of 1 or more of the following business areas: Distribution, Investments, Finance and Risk (incldg Legal & Compliance)
  • Understanding of ESG and implementation of ESG within an Asset Management company

Education / Qualifications

  • Educated to a bachelor degree level.
  • Project Management Certified (PMP), Prince 2 etc).
