Are you an experienced CT Technologist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in patient care? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our dynamic team at OrthoVirginia. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.
This position focuses on non-contrast CT procedures, meaning you’ll be working with state-of-the-art equipment to produce accurate, reliable images without the use of contrast agents. You'll have the chance to apply your expertise in CT protocols and anatomy while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper positioning.
- Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner, adhering to non-contrast CT protocols.
- Process and digitize CT images accurately, ensuring the correct patient data is linked to each scan.
- Review images for technical accuracy, ensuring proper anatomical orientation and diagnostic quality.
- Maintain and prepare CT examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and ready for each procedure.
- Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure ACR certification.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and medical staff to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with other duties as needed, while always prioritizing patient care.
- Provide professional, courteous, and empathetic care to patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the CT process.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of CT Technologist experience is preferred
- Current Virginia Radiologic Technologist License required
- ARRT Certification required
