Join our dynamic team at Cushman & Wakefield as a Property Management Lead supporting the Property NSW account.About the Role Reporting directly to the Senior Account Director, and a part of the senior account leadership team, this Sydney-based role will see you lead a team of Lease Managers and Analysts in delivering exceptional outcomes across one of NSW’s largest and most complex property portfolios. You’ll be the key escalation point for lease management matters, oversee client reporting and compliance, and drive efficiencies through strong financial, operational, and data management. This is a highly visible leadership position requiring a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, guide and manage the Lease Management team and the functions they perform to ensure a focus on client expenditure, revenue and data across our clients Leasehold and Freehold assets, Expenditure and revenue Leases, Subleases, Licences and Agreements.
- Ensure the Lease Management team provide a consistent and best practice approach to delivering the portfolio management services across the client portfolio. Through appropriate workload distribution and priority setting, ensure that the Lease Management team can provide the appropriate focus to deliver the best financial and compliance outcomes to the client.
- Act as the key liaison for the client, providing insights, updates, and escalation support on lease and portfolio matters.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 18 professionals, driving engagement, clear goal-setting, and high performance.
- Build strong relationships with landlords, tenants, government agencies, and suppliers to deliver consistent, best practice portfolio management services.
- Oversee lease administration and reporting, including budgets, compliance, forecasting, and portfolio analytics.
- Maintain and enhance our property management database, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance at all times.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in property management or related real estate services, with proven leadership ability.
- Experience in managing a significant property portfolio
- Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and experience with rent rolls, reconciliations, and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- A degree in Business, Property, or a related discipline (preferred), along with a real estate license or CPM/RPA/CSM designation (desirable).
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; Power BI knowledge an advantage.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Accounting and AASB16 knowledge would be an advantage.
