Project manager for Data Transformation at FTSE20 company
Role Summary
The acquisition of Refinitiv by the LSEG in 2021 has resulted in a sophisticated finance organization. LSEG now operates on two Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) systems – Oracle EBS (LSEG) and SAP ECC6 (Refinitiv). As a result of the different heritage systems, LSEG also operates dual business processes, control environments and data structures. We have selected Oracle Fusion as a single ERPM platform for the new combined organization, mobilized the programme and are currently closing out our Build phase.
There are 2 streams of work for which you will lead project management.
Project manage the sequence of events for a new data model and ‘connecting the dots’ across product hierarchies and Finance Chart of Account
- Product hierarchies will be handled within Product Hub
- Finance master data will be run within EDMCS
What You'Ll Be Doing:
- As project manager you will work closely with the Data Transformation lead to define the journey of data management strategies to ensure data integrity, consistency, and security for interim stages of the Oracle Fusion roll out and for the end-state.
- Develop and execute project roadmaps for data initiatives (Finance master data & Product Data model)
- Should be in a position to help develop the work Stream Charter.
- Break down high level scope items to manageable chunks of work to drive to closure
- Hereby define and sequence activities to deploy product & pricing workstream and Finance CoA
- Work with business partners to identify dependencies and opportunities, example in reporting
- Support the change management of the new Information Model in collaboration with product teams.
- Establish data quality metrics and supervising mechanisms to measure and improve data accuracy.
- Engage with internal Data teams to ensure Finance adheres to evolving best practices.
- Support roadmap that supervises conformance to data hierarchies, relationships, and attributes to support business processes.
You'Ll Bring:
Technical Skills
- Shown experience of having delivered a large-scale data-related project for a sophisticated, regulated multi-national organization
- Strong Stakeholder management (Internal and External Capabilities)
- Strong project management skills
- Experience of taking data policy frameworks and translating them to a roadmap of fixes for a sophisticated system estate, preferably in Finance
- Good stakeholder leadership skills, able to lead and appreciate different views and identify the best course of action, getting buy-in along the way
- An open-minded approach to driving solutions; balancing previous experience with the specific circumstances and requirements at LSEG
- A collaborative and positive attitude to help overcome hurdles and drive engagement
- Proven expertise in Ability to Close items working with internal and External teams
- Project management tools (JIRA, Asana, etc)
- Experience with Product data modelling and taxonomy development a plus
- Experience with Oracle Fusion, EDMCS and Product hub a plus
Soft Skills
- 10-15 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership in fast-paced
- Ability to navigate between technical development teams and financial product stakeholders
- Elicit Risk and handle issues
- Have a Customer Centric approach with a data perspective
