Overview Of Position:
FEDITC is seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Lead to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract,in Monterey supporting approximately 5,751 military and federal civilian employees worldwide. The person in this position provides the highest level of support to end users by handling service requests that have been escalated by lower tiers. Support will be provided onsite, remotely, over the phone, or via email.
This is an upcoming opportunity with a projected start date of 12 January 2026.
A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Background Investigation NAC initiated is required to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day IT activities of contract execution. These activities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing solutions for complex network, desktop, and server problems
- Making proactive recommendations for improvements
- Developing, maintaining, and implementing all systems, applications, and networking configurations
- Re- imaging of various operating systems (Apple & Windows)
- Performing backups of existing profile data and restore after imaging is completed
- Install and configure organization unique applications on networked computers (physical and virtual systems)
- Manage the response and resolution of service desk incidents
- Installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing computers, printers, and other peripheral devices
- Managing the remediation of information assurance vulnerabilities on computers and printers in accordance with DCSIT and DoD IA standards
Qualifications
Experience/Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, and other server
- applications.
- Advanced knowledge of computer and server hardware and working knowledge of audio visual equipment, and Blackberry wireless phones
- Working knowledge of installing Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Ivanti Management Suite, Microsoft SCCM, Jamf Pro, and other applications
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Ivanti Management Suite, Microsoft SCCM, or Jamf Pro.
- Professional customer service skill
- Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems effectively and efficiently
Education:
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years’ experience
Certifications:
- Anyone of the following IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) Certification and CE/OS Certification
- PMI Certification
- Windows or Apple Certified Technician
Clearance:
- Active SECRET
- Favorable FBI Fingerprints with “No Record”
- Must be a US Citizen
