An exciting opportunity to join the Australian Volunteers Program as the Learning & Development Coordinator!
AVI supports the implementation of the Australian Volunteers Program on behalf of the Australian Government. The Australian Volunteers Program enables skilled Australian volunteers to support partner organisations in 26 countries across the Pacific, Asia and Africa to progress their development objectives.
Role Overview
As the Learning & Development Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in preparing volunteers through engaging, inclusive, and accessible learning experiences. Supporting the Australian Volunteers Program, you’ll coordinate, design, develop, and deliver online, face-to-face, and blended learning programs. Drawing on instructional design principles and digital tools, you’ll create impactful content and resources that support volunteers’ personal and professional growth throughout their journey.

Position Requirements
This role will suit someone with:
- 3-5 years’ experience in Instructional design and development of high quality, inclusive online/digital, face-to-face, and blended adult education materials, courses and programs using a variety of methodologies and relevant technology.
- Demonstrated experience in learning needs analysis, impact measurement and evaluation of learning content and resources.
- Experience in maintaining quality online learning programs and implementing continuous improvement processes, including accessibility of learning content.
- Experience in facilitating face-to-face and web-based adult learning, preferably in a global or international development context.
- Experience working in diverse settings and with range of stakeholders and clients
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in learning and development, or adult education and/or equivalent experience.
