About Us

Help is a Queensland-based social enterprise helping people with disability lead fulfilling and independent lives. Over the past 50+ years, we’ve created an integrated network of services to provide people with disability the essentials, routine, and stretch they seek in life. Whether it’s employment, learning, living arrangements, community involvement, or anything else in between – we work alongside people to help them achieve the things they set out to. We do this with the help of our social enterprise businesses, organisational partnerships, and DES and NDIS service streams. We like to think of it as an ecosystem of opportunity.

  • Collaborate with the broader Head of Social Enterprise and Business Development Officer to design and implement an effective inbound sales and business development strategy, including the optimisation of sales processes, structures, and best practices across the organisation.
  • Provide strategic insights and hands-on support to the Head of Social Enterprise in the review, development, and execution of business development plans within the Social Enterprise portfolio.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture that empowers team members to challenge and refine existing work practices, uphold safety standards, and embrace continuous improvement in alignment with HELP’s values.
  • Demonstrate leadership and strong business development capabilities by coaching and mentoring team members to deliver strategically aligned, high-impact activities that drive sustainable growth.
  • Foster a growth mindset by identifying opportunities for improvement across core business development practices and encouraging team engagement in solution-focused thinking and innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with existing customers, while proactively networking to develop new connections with community groups, industry stakeholders, and potential partners.
  • Represent HELP and the Business Development team professionally at relevant internal and external networking events, ensuring alignment with strategic branding and reputation goals.
  • Manage end-to-end proposal and tender responses, including analysing RFP requirements, creating content, and coordinating contributions from various internal stakeholders.
  • Generate new leads and business opportunities by identifying and engaging key decision-makers, screening prospects for alignment with strategic goals, and leading opportunity development through to implementation.
