The Role

We are looking for a passionate environmental scientist/engineer with 3+ years’ experience in Environmental and Social management to join our growing ESG team. Our successful candidate will have Western Australian Environmental Permitting experience, a strong understanding of Australian regulations, awareness of local and international ESG practices trends impacting the resources industry (i.e. legislative and regulatory changes, developing Good International Industry Practices, climate change and GHG emissions, etc.), and environmental and social risk assessment.

You will primarily be involved in completing environmental and social risk assessments, permitting compliance checks, ESG practices conformance assessments, data collection, collation, analysis, and reporting related to various aspects of mining and infrastructure projects, where you will be supported by Senior and Principal Consultants.

This role is based out of our Perth office.

Our Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Engineering, or related discipline
• Professional experience (3+ years) in the mining industry. Field work / mine site experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of Australian and state environmental and permitting regulations and guidelines
• Demonstratable experience in environmental permitting, specifically in Western Australia
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to contribute to high quality technical reports in English
• Competency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
• Willingness to travel (domestic/international and possibly to remote locations)
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
• GIS mapping, modelling, and coding skills would be looked upon favourably
