Perform a wide variety of clerical and analytical support to commercial lenders. Provide an array of support for loans. Exercise independent judgment under moderate supervision. Conduct relationships and activities consistent with established bank policies, procedures and systems, the Corporate Code of Conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
Contact customers to obtain updated addresses on returned mail.
Apply payments or payoffs received in the department.
Process payoff quote requests for CL.
Provide backup for the Loan Operations Specialists as assigned.
Assist customers and lending staff as well as other associates with questions regarding Commercial Loans or other areas of expertise provided by this department.
Loan Operations personnel are required to learn and successfully perform the duties of all areas as designated by management.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding the status of new loans, including loan officers, loan assistants, and other bank personnel, when questions arise regarding loan documents, regulations, and approvals.
Follow and assist with establishing, implementing, and maintaining methods and procedures to ensure all loan actions are processed correctly and timely. Maintain a comprehensive procedures manual on all job responsibilities.
Consistently demonstrate proficiency in providing exemplary customer service in person and by telephone. Maintain a friendly, positive, and professional attitude. Resolve difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
Advise Loan Operations Management when there are problems with established procedures, policies, improper calculations on loans, or issues with meeting deadlines.
Complete or attend all required training.
Review appraiser qualifications (resume, sample appraisal, insurance requirements specified by bank policy, etc.) in order to review and recommend appraisers for inclusion in bank-approved appraiser list.
Maintain Colorado and North Carolina approved appraiser lists including addition of new appraisers and removal of appraiser providing deficient work product.
Responsible for maintaining the independence of the appraisal process from the credit approval and lender areas of the bank.
For loans requiring an appraisal: Responsible for requesting bids from appraisers for all loans secured with real estate (commercial or residential), reviewing bids and engaging the appraiser when selected (this process is independent of any lender involvement).
Responsible for addressing deficiencies in appraisals with the appraiser and ensuring resolution of such issues prior to acceptance of the appraisal report.
Independently able to communicate directly with Central Bank’s lending staff, appraisers, and customers to obtain appraisals.
Prepare administrative reports as may be requested by management.
Review construction budgets and enter into Bank’s tracking software for construction monitoring and draw processing.
Identify and engage with independent construction inspection firms for project feasibility (as required) and project inspections (as required).
Request inspections on receipt of draw requests, enter draw amounts into tracking software, review inspection results, work with lenders to address issues identified in the inspection prior to funding, confirm funding requests balance to work completed to date.
Upon lender approval of draw funding, process draws.
Monitor receipt of and compliance with mechanics lien release requirements.

- This position starts at $20.42 per hour and can increase from there depending on experience.

QualificationsAttention to detail required.
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; accurate grammar, spelling, punctuation, and standard English usage; business correspondence formats, recordkeeping and filing methods; basic math calculations.
Must possess good judgment and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and handle confidential information.
Ability to deal effectively and courteously with a large number of associates and members of the general public.
Ability to read, write, and speak English. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and complete assignments without detailed directions.
Ability to independently plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work efficiently and accurately.
Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Ability to operate a variety of office administration equipment such as PC, telephones/voicemail, copy machine, fax machine, calculator/adding machine, printer/MFD, etc. Utilize computer software applications such as Internet, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Intranet.
