About The Role

We’re hiring two newly created Distribution Design Engineer positions as part of a strategic team expansion—not replacements. These roles offer the opportunity to work across Victoria’s major distribution networks including AusNet, Jemena, and United Energy, contributing to high-impact infrastructure projects.

You’Ll Be Responsible For:

• Designing overhead and underground lines across Victorian distribution networks.
• Undertaking all kinds of Engineering Designs as directed including overhead, underground, street lighting, Industrial/ Commercial supply and 66kV projects as directed.
• AutoCAD drafting and contributing to technical design solutions.
• Taking ownership of your projects from scope stage to the final delivery.
• For one of the roles, protection design and settings expertise—particularly in lines and distribution substations space—is highly desirable.

About You

You’re a mid to senior-level design engineer with a proven track record in distribution network design—both overhead and underground. You’re confident working independently, thrive under pressure, and bring sound judgment to technical decisions.

We’Re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has hands-on experience and expertise in VESI distribution designs especially in Ausnet, Jemena and United Energy area and have in depth knowledge of their design standards.
• Holds RPEV registration (Victoria); chartered status is a plus.
• Has in-depth knowledge and expertise in the overhead, underground, substations, street lighting, Industrial/ Commercial supply and 66kV projects.
• Knowledge of nPoles, Neara design, Streets Earthing and AGI32 will be highly regarded. 
• Is currently working in or with organisations in the Victorian energy distribution sector.
• Is a team player and has highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Has ability to make project decisions, accept responsibility, autonomy and accountability.
• Brings distribution protection engineering experience (Not mandatory but highly desirable).
• Has knowledge of Earthing Design and AS3000 designs (Highly regarded)
