About the Role

As the QA Automation Lead for MediationZone and Usage Engine Private Edition, you will drive the design, development, and execution of automated testing frameworks for our core data mediation and usage processing solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust product quality, scalability, and reliability. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong emphasis on automation, process improvement, and mentoring.

• What you'll do
• You will drive QA automation efforts, implement changes as well, and teach and coach our engineers to make everyday QA work efficient, effective, and smooth. This means that you will:
• Lead the QA automation strategy, planning, and implementation for MediationZone and Usage Engine Private Edition.
• Develop and implement an automation strategy, collaborate to identify test scenarios suitable for automation, and create a simple roadmap for automation projects.
• Select appropriate testing tools and technologies to ensure efficient test automation processes.
• Lead the creation of (and writing) automated test scripts and then integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling functional-, integration-, regression-, and performance testing.
• Be responsible for leading, driving, and improving the QA work in and around our five engineering teams based in Sweden and Malaysia.
• Collaborate very closely with (and sit next to) all our engineering teams, where people will welcome you with open arms and ask for your opinion.
• Collaborate with product management, development, and DevOps teams to align testing with business and technical requirements.
• Define and implement best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test data management.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor and guide QA team members in automation techniques and best practices.
• Contribute to release planning, risk analysis, and quality metrics reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends in automation and recommend new tools and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards in test automation.

What You'Ll Bring

Experience:

• Over ten years of experience in automation testing and developing automation frameworks.
• Broad experience in defining test strategy from scratch using different testing methodologies and techniques.
• Proven ability to build and lead QA automation processes, including defining quality gates and QA metrics.
• Experience in leading QA initiatives across multiple teams.
• Ability to train and mentor developers in test automation and design.
• Skilled in refactoring legacy test code and improving test efficiency.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Datadog for monitoring and deployment.

Technical Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of programming languages: Java.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Expertise in automation tools such Playwright, Rest-assured, Allure.
• Knowledge of messaging systems: Kafka.

Ci/Cd Tools:

• Experience in automated test pipelines configuration with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, CircleCI.

Testing Types:

• Experienced in AI Testing, UI Testing, API Testing.
• Skilled in EventBus testing and Database testing.
• Knowledgeable in integration testing, component testing, contract testing, performance testing, unit testing and LLM testing.

Soft Skills:

• Passionate about continuous learning and improvement.
• Ability to optimize processes and stay updated with the latest industry trends.

Top Skills:

• Test Design for complex big data pipelines and for LLMs;
• Java, OOP and test automation with Java;
• Test pipelines configuration with Github Actions;
• Docker Products and Kubernetes;
• Performance Testing.
