The Right Profile

We’re looking for a Senior UI Designer to lead the experience across our browser and mobile investing platforms. This role is ideal for someone who knows what great looks like, but values evidence over ego. You’ll care deeply about customers, collaborate well across disciplines, and enjoy turning complex workflows into elegant, intuitive journeys.

To succeed here, you’ll be both thoughtful and practical — equally strong in craft and in execution. You’ll care about speed to value, UX consistency, and the impact of design decisions across mobile and desktop. This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, scale-up environments, who’s motivated by ownership and momentum, and who wants to transform the investing experience for everyday Australians.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX/UI design across Selfwealth’s browser and mobile apps.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customers to uplift platform usability.
• Use behavioural data and human-centered design methods to guide design decisions.
• Prototype and test ideas quickly with real customers, from low to high fidelity, and translate them into dev-ready designs.
• Strengthen and evolve our cross-platform design system to improve reusability and delivery speed.
• Help elevate design maturity by mentoring others and lifting design standards across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX/UI design experience in fintech, SaaS, start-up or scale-up tech environments.
• Strong experience designing across mobile and desktop, including using shared design systems.
• Proficient in Figma and familiar with design operations from concept to handoff.
• Hands-on with behavioural analytics and user research tools.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Able to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
• Curious, pragmatic, and motivated by creating meaningful customer outcomes.
• A passion for investing, or the willingness to quickly learn the space.
