About The Role

Mental Health Coordinating Council has an exciting opportunity for a committed Communications and Engagement Officer looking to make a positive difference.

The Communications and Engagement Officer is responsible for planning and delivering events, including logistics and publicity. The role includes producing high-quality content to market and enhance events and educational training across a range of channels: email, web, social and print.

This role works in partnership with the Communications and Content Officer and other key stakeholders both internally and externally. The role reports to the Communications and Engagement Manager.

MHCC offers a flexible working environment, work life balance, a paid wellbeing day per quarter and great work culture. The role can be offered on a part time or full time basis.

About You

You bring expertise and enthusiasm to a small, collaborative team. You have proven experience in a similar role. You want to make a difference.

To be successful in this role you will need

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in event management and/or communications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt writing style to suit medium
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building and managing relationships
  • Experience in digital marketing platforms including Eventbrite or similar, WordPress or similar, social media and CRMs.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An interest in community services and/or mental health
  • Full Australian work rights
