The role
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer - Mechanical for one of our under-construction hydropower projects based in KPK Province, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design, installation, and supervision of mechanical works for dam and hydropower projects, particularly large-scale projects.

• Construction supervision of Mechanical Works of 800MW hydropower project.
• Review of contractor equipment, site fabrication & erection method statement. Procurement & installation program for the hydro-mechanical plant & equipment.
• Checking of installation and commissioning of hydro-mechanical plant of the power station (Turbine, Governors, and Auxiliaries etc.
• Process Taking Over and Final Acceptance Certificates
• Checking plant efficiency recording and performance data
• Review of O&M Manuals
• Review of ‘As-Built’ drawings
• Monitoring Construction Progress, comparison with work schedule and suggesting any measures if necessary for improvements; and
• Contribution to Project Completion Report

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable Applicants Will Have/Be:

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized institution;
• additional qualification in mechanical engineering and/or in engineering management  will be considered an added advantage.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering,
• A minimum of 10 years in related activities on large dam and hydropower projects,
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer role on similar assignments.
• Proven experience in site supervision and mechanical erection works.
• Strong understanding of hydro-mechanical systems including turbines, gates, and auxiliaries.
• Experience in reviewing mechanical designs and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality assurance and safety protocols on large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills (English).
