Our team of world-class legal experts and technologists has built an intelligence platform that uncovers egregious violations across legal domains, such as privacy and data breaches, consumer protection, securities and financial fraud, environment, and employment. 

The Capital Markets Analyst will support the Head of Capital Markets and the broader team in:

  1. Business Development & Lead Generation – Sourcing, developing, and maintaining investor relationships.
  2. Monetization Deal Execution – Managing data rooms, preparing investor materials, supporting due diligence, and assisting with deal structuring.
  3. Investor Relations & Portfolio Management – Supporting post-transaction legal asset management and delivering ongoing investor reporting.

This role requires cross-functional collaboration with Legal Intelligence, Plaintiff Finding, Marketing, Litigation Partnerships, Legal Consulting, Operations / Legal, Business Development, Finance, and Product teams to execute transactions and drive broader Capital Markets initiatives.

Additionally, the Capital Markets Analyst will interact with external stakeholders, including investors, insurers, and underwriters, and will be expected to own some workstreams with guidance from the Head of Capital Markets.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Build and maintain Capital Markets data infrastructure (Salesforce, internal documents and DB) to track investor interactions and deal progress.
  • Conduct market research to source new investor leads (MQLs → SQLs).
  • Clean and maintain CRM data, ensuring lead quality and tracking investor engagement.
  • Support investor pitches by assisting with material preparation and participating in investor meetings and conferences.
  • Continuously refine and improve Capital Markets processes by collaborating with the Revenue Operations Manager, BI and others to implement new tools and build automations for lead generation and investor tracking.

Monetization Deal Execution

  • Track potential investors and maintain an investor pipeline.
  • Set up investor data rooms and portals, assembling and organizing key investment materials.
  • Coordinate due diligence efforts by working cross-functionally with internal teams to respond to investor requests and questions.
  • Support term sheet negotiations and assist in finalizing transaction documents and closing processes in collaboration with legal counsel and other stakeholders.

Investor Relations & Portfolio Management

  • Manage post-transaction investor relationships and portfolios, ensuring timely reporting and clear communication regarding their legal assets.
  • Prepare and oversee investor reporting (monthly / quarterly), working closely with the Legal Consulting team and external underwriters.
  • Schedule and facilitate investor update calls, setting agendas and ensuring alignment among stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing investor meetings, documenting key discussion points and tracking follow-ups.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a transactional role at a financial firm, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in Investment Banking
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, business management or related field
  • Ability to comprehend complex financial statements and deal documents
  • Proven analytical skills, particularly as it relates to financial markets
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Salesforce, with demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and act as a self-starter
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and align efforts with business goals

  • Darrow provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of pay (base salary) for this role is $90,000 - $110,000.

* Please note that if the years of experience are lower than the required qualifications, the salary range may be adjusted accordingly.
