As the Lead, Project and Program Management, you will be providing leadership to the a number of Program and Project Management team whilst having Delivery Management oversight and input across the project portfolio.
This will start as 1 year maximum term role initially.
What will you be doing?
- Leading the successful delivery of strategic projects and programs, ensuring scope, time, budget and quality objectives are met with measurable member and commercial outcomes.
- Providing leadership, mentoring and career development pathways for Program and Project Managers, fostering a high-performing and capable team.
- Driving project governance by overseeing financials, risks, scope and issue management, ensuring standards are applied consistently across all initiatives.
- Coordinating interdependencies across projects and business areas, supporting effective resource planning and pipeline forecasting in partnership with senior leaders.
- Acting as an escalation point for project teams, stakeholders and customers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective decision-making.
- Managing allocation of work, resource utilisation and the cost allocation model to maximise efficiency and value from RAC’s investment in projects.
- Championing a centre of excellence for program and project management, embedding best practice processes, tools and frameworks.
- Promoting collaboration and continuous improvement by enabling cross-functional teamwork, innovation, and alignment to RAC’s purpose, mission and vision.
What are we looking for in you?
- Ability to build strong relationships, effectively navigate through a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders and develop resources in a matrix structure.
- Ability for planning and prioritising work to meet commitments aligned with organisational goals.
- Extensive experience in successful delivery of complex business-led transformation programs.
- Experience in leadership position for large customer-focused organisation in similar role.
- Significant experience in leading a cross functional teams and management of stakeholders.
- Relevant Project Management qualifications is required (e.g PRINCE2 Practitioner level, PMBOK).
- Tertiary qualification in a related field is required (desireable).
- Post Graduate Qualification in a related field (or progression towards) is desirable.
