Your New Role
This 12-month contract is key to the successful execution of scheduled risk uplift activities and will lead the completion of risk uplift activities for the Technology Services department. You will translate risk uplift requirements into practical implementations that align with Technology Services' operating environment while remaining consistent with the overall risk uplift approach and desired outcomes. This role also includes cross-functional collaboration to ensure technology risk and controls considerations are consistently applied across the Fund.
Excellent rapport building skills is essential as you will work in partnership with multiple teams and departments across Technology Services and other departments within the Fund to achieve the desired outcomes. Communication and engagement across multiple levels of senior management will be the hallmark of the successful candidate. You need to be a leader, a critical thinker, and an active member alongside 1st line risk team members.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
- Lead aspects and contribute to the overall implementation of risk uplift activities across the Fund as it relates to Technology Services.
- Lead aspects of the completion of relevant milestones within a provided detailed plan of expected timelines, deliverables, definitions of done, artefacts and governance interventions, etc., to be delivered by or implemented into Fund Services for Technology Services.
- Contribute and support aspects of relevant milestones where it relates to technology risk and controls across the Fund (locally or overseas).
- Engage within a “think tank” environment / mechanisms intended to proactively identify and promptly solve for implementation issues and timings.
- Be a thought leader willing to share ideas and solutions with other functions across the Fund to ensure consistency of outcomes for our Members and Fund.
- Support the prototyping and testing of solutions for implementation.
- Provide feedback to the Program and / or Initiative leads. As far as possible this feedback should be documented and if challenges are unmet, document these in the form of risk acceptances.

- Strong knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated team leadership in a risk management function.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Innovative, creative and curious with a strong growth mindset.
- Collaborative, articulate and persuasive leader who can support team members.
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills that articulate the risk and control environment for different levels across the Fund.
- Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
- High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
