This role combines hands-on laboratory research in molecular and cell biology with strategic project leadership to accelerate therapeutic discovery.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and execute molecular and cell biology experiments including DNA cloning into viral vectors and preparation of next generation sequencing libraries
  • Perform tissue extraction and processing for downstream molecular analyses
  • Establish and optimize molecular and cell biology laboratory capabilities, including equipment procurement and space configuration
  • Oversee external research partnerships with global CROs
  • Contribute to team growth through mentorship and recruitment
  • Interface cross-functionally with research teams and broader Sanofi organization

About You

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's + 8 years of relevant experience OR
  • Master's + 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • Ph.D. + 3 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in biopharma is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in cell and molecular biology techniques including DNA cloning into viral vectors and NGS library preparation
  • Proven experience with tissue extraction and processing methodologies
  • Experience with in vitro disease models and biomarker development
  • Project management experience including timeline and budget oversight

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRISPR-based genomic engineering
  • Expertise in single-cell sequencing technologies
  • Experience managing CRO relationships
  • Track record of successful project leadership
  • Equipment procurement and molecular biology lab setup experience
  • Demonstrated scientific creativity and innovation

The salary range for this position is:

$100,500.00 - $145,166.66
